The Whitefriars Lane Story

About Me

Hi, I’m Holly Morrison! What began as a simple passion project for me (and a form of therapy) blossomed into Whitefriars Lane in 2018. I spent my childhood divided between Texas and North Carolina, so I’m a southern girl at heart. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always enjoyed designing and creating. In my early years, I loved sculpting the tiniest pieces out of polymer clay with my bare hands.

Today, I live in the Dallas suburb of McKinney with my husband, Matt. We have two crazy boys, Caleb and Noah. Just as I did in my childhood, I love to retreat from the chaos by running to my craft room upstairs and creating whatever I can out of the same polymer clay I used as a child. The pieces I create are the products I hope you get to enjoy!

The Inspiration Behind the Name

When I was in middle school, my family moved us from our home in Texas to the Charlotte suburb of Matthews, North Carolina. The five years we spent in that picturesque suburb were some of my favorite years. It was right there, on Whitefriars Lane, where I spent summers at the pool with my friends and the winters throwing snowballs in the yard. When it came to starting a business based on my childhood passion, I could think of no better way to commemorate those formative years.

My Designs

Every product I sell is made by-hand from 100% polymer clay. I carefully design each element from my craft room in our home in McKinney, TX using high-quality clay that will last through the years. They are produced in small batches and baked in my desktop oven, usually while my boys wrestle each other in our playroom just outside my door.
